Most of us would agree that pressure takes a toll on your mind and body, causing anxiety and panic restricting you from reaching the full potential. Here are some people, who handle pressure well and use it to their benefit. Taking a leaf out of Tiger Woods book, the blog is written to take pressure positively and channelize the energy to reach the targeted goal.
Tiger Woods is one of the greatest athletes of all time with billions of fans across the globe. Mounting expectations and the pressure to be the best always got the best out of him. He had the nerves of steel, no wrinkles on the forehead as if pressure is dispensing Adrenalin rush in the veins.
He always looked charged up, but was it really the case or did he know some secret spell. Let’s decode it. Once he was asked on how he handles pressure. He replied “Well, it’s pressure, there’s no doubt. I was nervous and that’s a good thing. That means you care. You can try and use that energy as best you can to heighten your focus and then get into the right situation and it worked out great for me this week.”
His approach was clear; he used pressure as a weapon and sailed with the flow instead of shrugging against the tides. Attitude matters. He has his own definition of pressure, he enjoyed it and took it as a challenge warming him to hit the tough shot from the rough.
Pressure turns your instincts on, boost your confidence and magnify the focus. This is a rudimentary core concept of our NLP trainings in India laying huge emphasis on changing your perception about situations, adversities and rough patches in life seeking the positives. It helps in reframing your behavioral pattern, habits, inclinations and preferences in life.
I suggest you to keep a calm mind and let pressure take over you. Experience that unlimited source of energy and channelize towards the desired destination for enhanced performance and creativity. Pressure is a free source of energy given by others, utilize it.
